Engineering the boundary.

Nothing crosses this boundary that isn't supposed to — not gas, not electromagnetic energy — proven and documented. Custom UHV flange interfaces, knife-edge sealing geometry, helium leak tested and dual-hermetic certified.

Dual hermeticity

One engineered interface, certified against two distinct boundary failures.

Vacuum boundary

  • Knife-edge sealing geometry, UHV-class < 10⁻⁹ Torr
  • OFHC copper gaskets, sub-micron finish (Ra < 0.4μm)
  • He leak tested to 10⁻¹⁰ mbar·L/s sensitivity
  • Acceptance Test Report (ATR) with every shipment

Electromagnetic boundary

  • EMC-engineered feedthroughs
  • Measured shielding effectiveness (SE in dB)
  • MIL-STD-461 protocol capability
  • Impedance-matched coaxial feedthroughs

Where to go next

Helidge is the master brand. Each portal below speaks to a different audience.

Children of the Sun.

Spokane comes from Spukanee, meaning "Children of the Sun." Helidge compresses Helios — the sun, and the etymology behind helium, our leak-test gas — with edge: the knife-edge seal, and the plasma scrape-off layer in a tokamak. Every word in the name does triple duty.

The boundary is the hardest part of any vacuum or fusion system to get right — and the part most often taken for granted. We exist to make it provable.
